The process of reducing fat from red light therapy is a natural process where the fat inside the cells is liquified. That fat is then released from the fat cells into the interstitial areas of the body. With adequate hydration and slight exercise, this fat is then transferred by the lymphatic system to be processed by the liver and removed from the body. This is the exact process that occurs when working out, so the body is used to this occurring. This removal of fat from the cells is what causes the reduction in circumference.
The Contour Light features two different wavelengths; 635 nm and 880 nm. Each wavelength enters the skin and tissue at different depths, allowing for more effect on the cells. In addition to liquifying the fat in the fat cells, the red light also affects the mitochondria in our cells to stimulate increased cellular energy production (ATP). This allows the mitochondria, the powerhouses of energy in our cells, to carry out their purpose of cleaning, detoxifying and energizing cells from start to natural finish.
The Contour Light is the only pad based system that is FDA Cleared! A clinical study that was approved by an IRB was conducted. During this trial, 118 patients were treated who experienced an average loss of 2.49” per single session. FDA clearance was finalized on May 19, 2021.
The Contour Light is cleared for circumferential reduction (reduction of the circumference of waist, hips and thighs) and also cleared for the temporary relief of arthritis and muscle spasms, muscle and joint pain, promoting the relaxation of muscle tissue and to temporarily increase local blood circulation. The Contour Light has an FDA # of K202955 and the clinical study is registered with clinicaltrials.gov under # NCT 04451824.
Clinical Studies
Red light therapy is a clinically proven treatment for many things, including reduction in fat in the cells. In fact, there are over 45,000 published, peer reviewed studies on the effect of red light therapy. These clinical studies show that red light therapy is not just a theory or anecdotal treatment, but one based on science with the labratory results to prove it! Below we have just a sampling of various studies and their results.
